Privacy Notice

Who we are. Vaidyanam Panchangam ("the App") is operated by Dr. Vasisht Subramanian N.S., Simply Ayurveda, Kanakampallam Farm, Nallepilly, Palakkad, Kerala, contact: simplyayur@gmail.com. We are the data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect.

• Account data: name and email from Google sign-in (phone number if you later choose OTP login).
• Location: the place you choose, used only to compute sunrise, sunset and the panchangam for that place. It stays in your browser and is not sent to us.
• Plan: whether you are on Free or Paid, and the date Paid access ends. Notification preferences, if you turn on notifications later.
• Payment data: payments are made by UPI directly to our bank account. We receive the UPI reference number (UTR), the payer name shown by UPI, and the email you send them from. We keep your sign-in email with your plan and its end date. We never see your UPI PIN, card or bank login.
• Technical data: our hosting provider and Google may process your IP address and browser details to deliver the App and keep it secure. We run no analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we use it. To let you sign in, show the panchangam for your location, confirm payments and manage your plan, answer your emails, send notifications you turn on, and keep the App working and secure.

What we do not do. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not ask for health details.

Sharing. Only with service providers needed to run the App (Cloudflare for hosting, Google Firebase for sign-in and plan records, and notification delivery), under their own terms, and where law requires. These providers may process data outside India, as the DPDP Act permits.

Retention. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of your deletion request. Payment records (amount, date, UTR, email) are kept for as long as tax law requires, even after deletion.

Your rights. You may access, correct, or erase your data, withdraw consent at any time, nominate someone to act for you, and complain to our grievance officer, Dr. Vasisht Subramanian N.S., at simplyayur@gmail.com. If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children. The App is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data of persons under 18.

Changes. We will show material changes in the App before they apply, with the new effective date. Continuing to use the App after that date means you accept them.

Terms of Use and Disclaimer

1. Agreement and eligibility. By signing in you accept these terms, the Privacy Notice and the Refund and Cancellation Policy. You must be 18 or older.
2. Informational purpose only. The App gives panchangam data and traditional Ayurveda-jyotisha guidance for study and reference. It is not medical, clinical, legal or financial advice and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
3. Practitioner judgement. Practitioners remain solely responsible for clinical decisions. Do not delay or avoid professional care because of anything shown in the App.
4. Accuracy. Astronomical values are computed from standard algorithms and cross-checked, but may differ by a minute or so from other sources. Festival dates may differ between regional traditions and almanacs. Please confirm with your own authority for religious or ritual decisions.
5. Traditional content. Guidance reflects classical and published sources as interpreted by the author. It is not a guarantee of any result.
6. Plans and payment. Paid access costs ₹449 for 1 year or ₹999 for 3 years, paid by UPI to vasishtesaf@axl. Access is switched on by hand after the payment is confirmed, usually within one working day, and ends on the date shown next to your name. Plans do not renew automatically. Refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy (below).
7. Availability and changes. We aim to keep the App running but do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change features or prices; a price change does not affect a plan you have already paid for.
8. Acceptable use. No copying, scraping or resale of the App's content without written permission. Paid access is for one person; do not share your account. We may suspend or end access that breaks these terms, without refund.
9. Liability. The App is provided as is, without any warranty. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the App, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Governing law. Laws of India; courts at Palakkad, Kerala.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Payments are final. Paid access (₹449 for 1 year, ₹999 for 3 years) is not refundable once it has been switched on, in full or in part, including for unused time.

When we refund in full:

• You paid twice for the same plan, or paid more than the price shown.
• You paid but we did not switch on Paid access within 7 days of receiving your payment details.
• We permanently close the App while your plan is active: we refund the unused months.

How to ask. Email simplyayur@gmail.com within 30 days of the payment with your sign-in email, the UPI reference number (UTR) and the date. Approved refunds are sent by UPI to the account that paid, within 7 working days.

Cancellation. Plans do not renew, so there is nothing to cancel. You can stop using the App at any time; access ends on the date shown next to your name.

Wrong account. Access is tied to the Google account you were signed in with when paying. If you used the wrong one, write to us and we will move the plan instead of refunding.
